I always try to purchase practical things even for special days. I purchased this for Valentine's Day for my 4 1/2 year old grandson. He really likes to pick out his clothes every morning. Even though he did not show alot of enthusiasm when he opened the gift, it was confirmed when it was his first choice to wear to ... next morning. He looks handsome in it . The Red is a darker red!
I bought these for my son's uniform tops (they have red at school). The short sleeved gap polos were the same color as the school uniform so I figured these would work. [...] I noticed that these are a darker richer red. Very pretty...unfortunately not the right color for school.

Great uniform polos!
These shirts are great. Soft, comfortable, and the colors are rich and deep. I ordered them slightly too big so my son could get two years use out of them (difficult with growing boys!) at his uniform only charter school. They fit him well, despite being a bit big (without actually LOOKING too big), and I can tell they'll fit him perfectly next winter.

I want to help my daughter build a school wardrobe for my grandson who is starting kindergarten this Fall. This shirt is just perfect! Skinny ... fit
I have a skinny 11 yr old and I got him the size 12 SLIM shorts and ... fit him perfect, without any adjusting on the elastic waist on the inside. For just this summer, they're fine, but for clothes I'd want to go more than a few months, I'd get regular sized ones.

What Happened, ...
I ordered ... shorts for ... 13 year old to wear next spring to ... He is required to wear a ... khaki shorts look like ... would fit the bill. When ... arrived, he tried ... were not only too short, but too small. He is very slim (thus, I ordered the slims) but has always worn clothes about 1 size smaller than he is. Thus, he would wear a 12 or maybe a 14 by now, but the 16's were for next year. ... were "return by mail" only, so it was not worth the effort to mail ... back. ... not only TOO SMALL to wear now, but too small for next year. Sadly, a big waste of money. I will go to a local store and purchase from now on.

I love the school pants!!!
My son started school this September and wanted to buy him some quality school pants...these are fantastic!!! The quality is unbeliveable and it's so easy to iron. I would recommend to any parent.

I have always loved these shorts and pants for my boys for their school uniforms. The easy closure is a big seller for me, no hard to close snaps or buttons. I also love the adustable waist, this is perfect to keep passing along from child to child. I do wish the knees could be a little more enforced....boys are hare in the knees.

Husky sizes offer alternatives!
My 14-year old son has worn these shorts for years - almost as a school uniform. I was so disappointed when the size 18 regulars were too tight in the waist. I looked for adult shorts, but couldn't find any with a 30" waist. Then by chance I looked at these shorts in the 'husky' size, and he could wear the 16's! They're a little loose, but that's even better. Nice to know - and much less expensive!

Recently, I ordered the Gap uniform shorts for my son after ordering the pants for him and my daughter earlier in the school year. The pants were quite comfortable and fit them well. I was hoping to have the same luck with the uniform shorts. The shorts are wonderful. They are extremely comfortable and easy to wear and they last. I have tried other brands, but they were not always sized right and they definitely did not have the comfort level these shorts have. Some may have been lower priced, but the quality was not the same. Now, I am sticking with the uniforms from here. I like the product, it is reliable and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable and durable uniform short for their child.

Meets School Uniform Expectations
Solid, basic school uniform pant; classic style, grandson wears an "S" which is difficult to find in other stores. Purchased the navy and the khaki, black is an additional color the school accepts. These will last until the child outgrows them. Durable & well made.

Initially ordered the 5slim[...]Re shipped to my grandson 125 miles away[...]The 5 slim pants fit, but the 5 slim shorts did not. Meanwhile, lots of circumstances beyond the families' control occurred. Re ordered the 5 regular. Sent those away for grandson to try on . They fit; the misfits were returned[...] I suggested to GAP to provide SAMPLE uniforms at stores so the ... can be tried on for fit[...]The school uniform ... 2nd to none as far as quality and basic colors. The uniform code is very strict, and the GAP School Uniform ... meets the code. The fit is sometimes a mystery. So, don't always expect the size to fit the same in the long and short pants. Country of manufacture or color may impact the sizing isssue.

Don''t buy from the "authorized" vendor! Go COTTON!
This is the only uniform short I will buy - so comfortable, he'll wear them outside of school too!

Perfect for my son.
These pants are great! They wear really well. My son is rough on clothes. The only problem with these pants is that he outgrows them before I feel like we get all of the wear out of them.

Big kids
These husky chinos are a welcome find...too often clothes are geared to really skinny kids and regular kids just don;t fit in them...thank goodness for gap huskies

Best pants ever
My son is by no means fat but he is thick. In order to get a pair of pants to fit in the waist they are 6 inches too long. These pants are too big in the waist but he tightens with the waist sizers inside. He has a slight sensory perception problem and is very picky about clothes. THESE ARE THE BEST PANTS EVER...THE ONLY ONES HE WILL WEAR.

Great ...
I love these ... They look so handsome! Just one tip, I actually read the washing instructions b/c I was washing a whole bunch of brand new clothes together, they say not to use fabric softener. I'm guessing it's for the stain shield? Other than that, they're perfect!

Best Dressed!
I brought these ... word versatility in mind. These ... cute and stylish. You can wear them casual or add a jacket/blazer for a more dressed up look. This was a nice touch to the ... line. As a parent you want clothes to be functional.

Flat Front Slims are perfect for skinny kids
I have been ordering up to 20 pair of these flat front ... every year for the past 11 years. ... go to private schools. Each year they just grow up one size from the year before. The slims are the only ... EVER found to fit. The inside adjustable waist is a life saver for SKINNY SKINNY kids. ... oldest is in 10th gr this yr and finally is wearing an 18 regular, rather than slim. There is a huge difference between the 20 reg and the smallest men's size so I don't know what will happen when we get to that point. [...].

Nice husky ...
Our school's ... come from another "mega" catalog merchant but they don't make husky for little ... so I turned to the ... nice and fit well - roomy arount the waist but not too baggy. The hook closure is an added bonus for little hands who still can't tackle the buttons. I only wish I could get away with not ironing them: even if I take them right out of the dryer and smooth them over, they still don't look great unless pressed.
