Love these socks!
After reading reviews that these socks shrunk severely, I ordered size medium for my two boys. My 4-year old wears a size 13 shoe, my 6-year old a size 1 shoe. I washed these as I do all my whites, with bleach and hot water. I noticed a slight shrinking, but nothing more than what socks typically do when washed. These socks are very good quality, and the material stretches well, fitting my boys perfectly, even after washing. My boys love them, and say they are very comfy, so that's a win for this mom! Will definitely buy again.

Found the perfect socks after Toddler size!
My 3 year old grandson was just at that stage in foot growth that the toddler socks that go up to size 5T were getting a bit snug. We measured his feet to go by information on the size chart for what little boys sock size to order next. Our first sock order was for size small in little boys size. Although these did fit, his toes came pretty close to the end, so we placed a second order for the medium little boys size. These were perfect! The padded lettering feature that was on the toddler socks is not present on the little boy socks, but then again he is no longer a wobbly little toddler. Thanks for providing such great socks! They are made well and extremely comfortable!

Great Socks
These socks work great for my boys. They refuse to wear socks with "bumps". The GAP socks are great because they do not have a thick seam around the toes that cause those dreaded bumps. Boys are getting older and really need larger sizes made the same way.

Still Love ''em
I always buy these socks and they DO hold up great. My boys outgrow them, no holes and I still bleach them and they are always so white and look new with each wear. GREAT SOCK! Wait for sales:o)

Love These Socks!
These are our go to socks! Both of my boys, 4 & 8 love them. I try to always have them around. They only want Gap socks.

Good basic socks!!
The six pack crew socks are a very good basic sock that I feel are best for boys because they are very simple in design. The socks have a 'Gap' grip on the bottom which helps to minimize my son slipping on our hardwood and tile floors at home. I have been purchasing Gap socks for my son since he was born and they wear well. These crew socks in particular seem to wear better and wash better than the roll down socks.

Great quality
We bought both girls and boys crew socks and love the quality. They are not too thin or too thick. I read the other reviews and went up a size and the fit is great.

Pretty good!
Only four stars because they run small. The Medium fits my boys who have size 9 and 10.5 shoe sizes. The Small is a little too small for the size 9 boy, but he still can wear them. Very soft. Stay up but are not too tight. Just the right thickness for most of the year. May be a little too thick for hot summer weather.

Too Small
These socks run VERY small. My boys wear shoe sizes 10 & 10 1/2 and the Small, which is supposed to fit up to size 13, is way too small.

Quality has plummeted and runs WAY too small
I bought a bunch of Gap plain white crew socks for one of my boys last winter, and loved them. In preparation for back to-school, I stocked up on them for both of my boys. These socks run SO small. I am using one set of Large for my son who wears a size 1 shoe. I am returning the other set of Large and both sets of Medium. Aside from the sizing problem, the quality is so poor that I don't mind returning them. The other socks I bought had a nice finished top edge. These are sure to fray after a few months of use.

Sad about socks
I am very disappointed in these socks! I bought a packet of socks each for three of my boys; each according to shoe size. After one wearing, NONE OF THEM FIT RIGHT!! The heels are too short and continually slide down to the bottom of their feet. I have been buying socks from GAP for my children for 12years and this is the only time I have been disappointed. I usually buy the taller socks...I guess I will go back to those.

durable socks
Boys wear the socks out too fast - these ones last longer!

finally! dark socks that are thick enough for fall/ winter, soft, wash well, and are durable!! Both my boys will only wear Gap socks. Truly are softer.

Love These Socks
My boys love these socks just as much as the white ones we always order. They seem to run just a touch bigger than the white ones (they seem to run a little small) but they still fit very well! I love the fact that they hide the dirt, my 4 year old is always running outside in sock feet and no matter what, white just doesn't stay that white! I will be ordering more of these.

Quality!
After searching the internet for crew socks for my grandson, I found these at Gap.Crew socks with a roll down top are impossible to find for little boys past the 5T size. Theses are thick. Not a summer sock but should last until he grows out of them.

Great socks, great fit - needs size differentiation
I love these socks for my sons' school uniforms. They are the only navy crew socks that I can find. All other navy socks are thin dress socks that don't fit as well in the boys casual school shoes, wear through quickly, and are not warm enough for late fall, winter and early spring. These socks wear great, we've had many pairs in various sizes and in 2 years only one pair has ever had a hole and had to be thrown out. My sons wear through other brand socks ([...]adidas, nike, [...]) in around 6 months. The sizing has fit well for my boys, I say they run true to size not small for us. My only complaint is that unlike nearly every other sock brand that now differentiates sizing with lines or colors on the toes or something, Gap still hasn't chosen to do that. My boys are close in age and wear the same uniform. I needed socks in Small and Medium, and now Medium and Large, and laundry sorting is ridiculous. The socks are so close in size and hard to match up. Gap really needs to add the size differentiation for families with multiple kids wearing the same sock in different sizes. They would be 5 star socks if they just had the size markings on them.
