Perfect Again
I've been buying Perfect Boot Cut ... Gap for years. They're not called Perfect for nothing! They're a good fit, they are versatile and they look great with boots —of course. The new straight leg ... not very flattering to many people, but Perfect Bootcut ... flatter everyone and best of all, they are coming back into fashion. Come on Gap, bring us some more colors and fabrics in this style! White? Purple? Red?

Thank you Gap for making a bootcut in midrise! I love them and wear both colors all the time. The two color choices do fit differently but both fit well! Will buy again. Please make your other ... available in a midrise too. I own the long and lean and curvy ... well and constantly have to pull the waist up. The perfect boot is by far the best fit I have found!

My New Favorite ...
I love these ... They flatter curves and the dark wash is very slimming. These are my new favorites. The double button front closure gives the illusion of being a lower rise ... but comes up a little higher than the Sexy bootcut, which helps hide any extra that might spill over the waistband in lower rise ... Perfect!

Great Basic ...
The dark wash and slight flare in the bootcut make these ... super basic. I am 5'3", 119 lb., 24" waist and 34" hips. The size 2 Petite works just fine; they zipped up without a struggle after washing, so if you prefer tighter ... you're between sizes, get the smaller. Like most ... they stretch a bit with wear, but nothing like the Always Skinny. Nice mid weight material with just a bit of whiskering that does not detract from the overall long and lean look. Good job Gap!

Great Bootcut, Superior Waistband
This will be my third pair of bootcut. They're a bit "retro" in that the bootcut is a little wider than previous bootcut styles. They also run a bit long, but they're perfect for heels. I'm 5'3", 114 pounds, 24" waist, 34" hips, and 30" inseam. The Size0Petite is a perfect fit for me because (1) the Petite inseam runs about 31" on these, and (2) the pockets are placed a bit higher in the rear, making for a nice perky view back there. As others have mentioned, the waistband is slightly curved so it hugs the area and doesn't gap anywhere, and the midrise appears a bit lower than it really is due to the wider waistband. Very clever. It is a nice very dark wash with a slight bit of whiskering on the hip fold area.

Really are Perfect
I love just about everything about these ... It's a great cut and extremely flattering to figures with curvy hips and fuller thighs. They make me look Svelte! And I love the wider waistband which gives my tummy a little extra support without feeling like I'm wearing a girdle--minimizes muffin top problems. The rise is lower but not as low as the Curvy Bootcut which is lower than I'm comfortable with. The touch of spandex makes them as comfortable as they are great looking and as a few other people have mentioned although they loosen up they keep they're shape and never look baggy. Plus I love the dark indigo color because it's so versatile; you can dress them up without looking sloppy. The denim is a nice mid weight: not too heavy; not too light so it's a 3-season ... My only wish (again as others have said) is Gap would offer this ... more colors: a darker rinse and a lighter one as well. Please keep this style around, it's a winner!!

No fail ... every time!
I'm 5'11", 190 and size 14. Consistently the Perfect Bootcut ... my go to ... double button and mid rise make them a very comfortable flattering fit. It's been a few years since my last pair (which have held up well!) so I opted for the darker wash this time. The style & dark wash really length my legs and take off some pounds. I also tried the Long & Lean, but these fit my frame better.

Great Everyday ...
These are great ... especially for the price. They have a bigger bootcut bottom than usual, almost conservative bell bottoms. The Size 4 Petite fit perfectly (I wear a 2 Petite in the Always Skinny and most Gap shorts); 25.5" high waist, 35" hips, 5'3", 127lbs. I get the Petite sizes because the pockets ride a little higher on the derriere, avoiding the "draggy bottom" look, AND they are about 31" long, which works for someone 5'3", even in heels. Gap quality is not as high as it used to be, which is the only reason these ... got 4 stars instead of 5.

I first tried these in the store in ankle length. I was between sizes - the bigger size was perfect in the hips and rear but too big in the waist...the smaller size was very snug in the hips but perfect at the waist. I decided to try a petite size and they are PERFECT...and the length is great. About 30" which allows me to wear a small heel or flats. My recommendation is if you find yourself between sizes in the store and are 5'4" or under, go with the petite in the larger of the sizes you tried in regular. I love that the ... all day long - I hate when ... get saggy in the rear and thigh after a few hours...they stretch out just a TINY bit, in the places you'd want them to. They also wash up great, no shrinkage. The only thing I wish is that the boot opening was more subtle...it's much more like a flare than a bootcut.

used to be better...
I wear GAP 1969 Perfect Bootcut ... almost daily, and have been buying a few pairs every year. This latest purchase (June 2012) disappointed me, as the fabric seems thinner and flimsier than my previous ... cut and style are as expected, but the flimsiness and the extrastretchiness feels like these pairs won't last as long. I am a little disappointed, GAP.

Great ... Fit is comfortable and flattering. I tried the Curvy bootcut, Long and lean and this cut - these were far and away my favorite in the normal length (which are perfect with boots on my 5'4" and 31" inseam self). Did not like them so well in the shorter "ankle" length - they seem cut entirely differently. I am curvy and these worked very well for my figure type.

Perfect Boot
I have at least 4 pairs and love this ... They have a great fit and I love the washes they come in. They have a nice size leg opening also. I am not a fan of smaller bootcut ... They do stretch out somewhat when wearing so I started ordering a size down in the lighter wash. The dark fits true to size with less stretching.

Perfect Bootcut ...
I have worn Gap bootcut ... years, they always fit perfect, and people always ask what brand they were. The past 6 to 8 years Gap keeps changing them. These ... fit OK but stretch out after a couple hours wear, then you have to keep pulling them up. They are no longer a bootcut, but more of a flare. The length is still great, Gap always takes care of tall people too. I wish they would go back to their original style when they first added stretch, yes I wore Gap ... before spandex. After stretch was added I thought they were heavenly, now theres just a little too much, still love Gap.

Very Comfortable ...
I love these ... have them in the dark wash as well. They fit pretty true to size, I did have to wash and dry them a few times till I felt they really fit nice and snug. They wear well and do not stretch out. The waist does have a bit more fabric but I think it lays well, I like the double button band. The dark wash fits a bit smaller, so I like those for going out. They are a bit pricey but it is hard to find nice bootcut or flared ... so it is worth it, the opening in these is a great in between, I love it. I wish the stores had more short lengths available, but I haven't had any problems getting them online.

Great fitting ...
Love everything about the fit on the Perfect Bootcut ... Just wish that Gap would start using a higher quality denim that holds its form a bit better.

Gap ...
First of all let me express how much I like Gap ... usually order the long & lean style, but when the last pair I ordered came in the wrong inseam I had to return them. I ordered regular which should have been a 33 inch inseam, but they were 31. Too short! When I went back in to reorder my only color choice in long & lean was a dark wash and I do not like the dark denim. So, I tried the perfect bootcut in long. 35 inch inseam is a tad too long, but better than 31. The bootcut is OK, but I don't like them as much as I like long & lean. I would like the L&L in a mediam or faded color in regular with an inseam that is supposed to be 33 inches as the website describes. Is that possible? Thanks much, Kari

Sizing inconsistent
What is with the sizing on these Gap ... found the sizing of the real straight ... problematic (size 6p was looser than the 8p in the same medium wash), and in these bootcut ... am finding that the thighs are tighter in the 8a than the 6a (light wash)! If Gap could just get the sizing (or quality control) down, these ... would be awesome. I don't know how they do it, but it really minimizes my hips, and the rise is perfect--no need to worry about plumber's crack. Get the sizing right Gap, and I'm yours!

perfect at first!
AT FIRST this ... very comfortable and flattering, but shortly after wearing, they stretch out, and get saggy! I even went down a size to a 4 when my usualy is 6 and I still have the same issue. I don't like the new material, it is so much thinner and just cheaper feeling than the old denim. I will have to start looking elsewhere for bootcut ... material is comfortable and very soft, but that is what causes them to loose their shape, so I'm say leave the soft stuff to sweatpants!

So happy to find them long enough
Got these for my teenage son who is very skinny and tall. He has been wearing another brand in bootcut 28 or 29W and 32 L, but they're getting short (but unfortunately, not much tighter in the waist.) That brand requires you to go up to a 30W to get longer than a 32L. Happily, Gap has 29W 34L in bootcut, so these fit him well and are plenty long enough. He loves the Dark Star Indigo wash. The quality is what you expect from Gap and I'm sure they'll hold up well.

GAP ... never again
There used to be a time where I only and exclusively purchased ... GAP, and only their boot cut. Their bootcut ... were perfect, perfect denim, perfect fit, it just wasn't worth it for me to look into something else. Then something happened at the GAP, they started getting more expensive, and the quality of their clothes in general went south.Then, the ice of the cake, they changed what was a perfect boot cut ... making it sit low on the waist, and more skinnier and tight on the legs....I'm not kidding I still have a pair of GAP ... 2006! sure they look used, but they're still great, probably some of the best ... I've owned... great fit, great denim, thick material, robust...but most important, they still fit way better and look way better than the poop they sell today... Last time I bought from the GAP I purchased a sweater. I always follow wash and care instructions. After the first wash, the sweater, supposedly 100% cotton, already look horrible, with wrinkles, almost like a acrylic product.

Dissapointing Quality!
This will be my 3rd pair of ... return for the same issue. I previously bought 2 pairs of the 38x36 bootcut 1969 ... 1-16-13 only to return both pairs due to the button falling out on the fly. These ... actually a size too big for me as ideally I would wear a 37x36. Upon putting my pant on the buttons simply came out of their hole before I put tension on them! Same thing happend on 1 of the 2 replacement pair of ... first wash!!! I didn't even get a chance to wear them!! My previous pairs of the same style/size i have had for more than 2 years are hold up still (though they are ratty looking)!!!
