Thank you for midrise!
Thank you Gap for making a bootcut in midrise! I love them and wear both colors all the time. The two color choices do fit differently but both fit well! Will buy again. Please make your other ... available in a midrise too. I own the long and lean and curvy ... well and constantly have to pull the waist up. The perfect boot is by far the best fit I have found!

Great Basic ...
The dark wash and slight flare in the bootcut make these ... super basic. I am 5'3", 119 lb., 24" waist and 34" hips. The size 2 Petite works just fine; they zipped up without a struggle after washing, so if you prefer tighter ... you're between sizes, get the smaller. Like most ... they stretch a bit with wear, but nothing like the Always Skinny. Nice mid weight material with just a bit of whiskering that does not detract from the overall long and lean look. Good job Gap!

Great Bootcut, Superior Waistband
This will be my third pair of bootcut. They're a bit "retro" in that the bootcut is a little wider than previous bootcut styles. They also run a bit long, but they're perfect for heels. I'm 5'3", 114 pounds, 24" waist, 34" hips, and 30" inseam. The Size0Petite is a perfect fit for me because (1) the Petite inseam runs about 31" on these, and (2) the pockets are placed a bit higher in the rear, making for a nice perky view back there. As others have mentioned, the waistband is slightly curved so it hugs the area and doesn't gap anywhere, and the midrise appears a bit lower than it really is due to the wider waistband. Very clever. It is a nice very dark wash with a slight bit of whiskering on the hip fold area.

Amazing ...
These are incredible ... I'm 23 and probably haven't worn Gap ... since junior high-- until now. I needed dark wash bootcut ... had a 25% coupon so I hit gap.com and found this pair. They fit me like they were custom tailored! I'm 5'4" and around 135 lbs, so I got a size 8 and they are my absolute favorite pair of ... WARNING: I ordered them in the regular length because, even with my short legs, sometimes the short length can be too short. Well, the regular length is way too long for everyday wear.... So I bought a second pair in the shorter length and held on to these for when I wear heels! I really can't say enough good things about these ... they're super comfy, the perfect shade of dark wash, and I'm so glad I bought them!

Bootcut Petite Jeans On Line
I bought the 1969 lighter colored Perfect Bootcut jeans in size 8 A and they were a great fit except for the length. They were a little too long especially for flats and sandals. So I decided to buy the dark color ... 1969 Perfect Bootcut, in 8 Petite on line hoping the length would be shorter. To my disappointment, the Petite ... were longer than the 8 A.

Same Jeans....Too Small??
I had ordered these ... perfect bootcut) this past winter and I loved them!! They were slimming and a nice tight (but not too tight) of a fit. Needless to say, I wore those ... out and needed a new pair. This time they are WAY TOO SMALL!!! The ... totally different. Its way to tight, flare leg, just not the same. Disappointed. I will be returning them :'(

I thought I would like these ... But not so. As others have noted they stretch out considerably. Also way too long and the ankle lenght was way too short ( i am 5'4) So I hemmed them up and they really look awful that way.Surprisingly I went to the Gap store to try on some others and found the straight leg ... awesome fit everywhere even the lenght. With my small build they look really good on me, much better than bootcuts. Although each pair of ... does fit differently so try each one on separately. I finally found a pair of the sexy bootcut ... size 2, I sized down. and the ankle length was perfect but only in this particular pair. Hope this helps others with the same problem

High hopes, but no luck with these ...
I had really high hopes for these ... based on the reviews I had read. Unfortunately they didn't work at all for me. I'm a 5'5" 118 lb mother of two small children. I ordered a size 4 and 6. The 6 was too big everywhere. The 4 fit in the hips and rear, but I had a gap of a few inches in the back of the waist like I find in most ... description of these ... says that they are midrise. However, they still sat a few inches below my belly button and created some belly pudge over the top of the waistband since my stomach never totally went back to that pre baby slimness. I also thought that the bottoms of the ... were quite wide and I would call them a flare more than bootcut. The length of the regular size would make wearing with flats impossible, but I expected this based on the inseam size provided on the website. I asked at the store what ... they would recommend that sit a bit higher (I don't want the mom ... yesteryear but I do need something that sits a tad higher to help hold in my stomach) and was told to try the long and lean. I haven't had a chance yet but they may be something to try if these don't work for you.

Awful
I bought these to replace my old Gap bootcut ... I've had for years and have finally worn too many holes through to wear them in public. These ... terrible compared to the old ones. The fabric is much thinner and stretchier, so they didn't hang like the old ... do. I also have a pair of the new ... fabric and they're already starting to get holes even though I bought them 2 months ago. Plus, the rise was not really "mid rise" so much as "dangerously close to my bellybutton". I've tried four different styles of the new ... returned them all. Bring back the old cuts!

Very Disappointed with new style!
I've loved Gap ... years now, and I have to say that I am very disappointed with the new styles and sizing. I have always been extremely happy with not only the perfect bootcut, but also the curvy bootcut and the long and lean fit... well NOT ANYMORE. The fit is just all wrong now. The waist, hips, and length are still perfect, but the leg is so much more narrow now - I felt like I was wearing ... leggings, which is NOT the look I was going for. Please Please Please go back to the old fits, GAP!!

Disappointed
I have only worn Gap ... 5 yrs. But now they have changed the material.....too thin....I like heavy denim....that is what ... They have also changed the bootcut fit. So I sent both pairs back and am on a search for my new favorite ...

Great ...
This is the 4th pairs of the new design GAP 1969 ... bought. I like the many different choices of style and length GAP offers, you can pick the one that matches your style and height. A lot of the ... market nowadays are too low rise for me, GAP's Perfect Bootcut and Long and Lean ... hit the right balance. GAP's ... always fits me well, and these are no exception. The Perfect Bootcut seems to run a size too big, so I have to go one size smaller.

Great ... Fit is comfortable and flattering. I tried the Curvy bootcut, Long and lean and this cut - these were far and away my favorite in the normal length (which are perfect with boots on my 5'4" and 31" inseam self). Did not like them so well in the shorter "ankle" length - they seem cut entirely differently. I am curvy and these worked very well for my figure type.

Favorite ...
Gap Bootcut, have always been my favorite ... they were in highschool, and they are again after having 3 kids. They were flattering then as a teen, and are now with an adult figure! The absolute Epitome how how i would define my favorite ... & the most perfect ... possible!!! LOVE THEM!! ;)

Perfect Bootcut ...
I have worn Gap bootcut ... years, they always fit perfect, and people always ask what brand they were. The past 6 to 8 years Gap keeps changing them. These ... fit OK but stretch out after a couple hours wear, then you have to keep pulling them up. They are no longer a bootcut, but more of a flare. The length is still great, Gap always takes care of tall people too. I wish they would go back to their original style when they first added stretch, yes I wore Gap ... before spandex. After stretch was added I thought they were heavenly, now theres just a little too much, still love Gap.

Perfect ...
I bought the perfect bootcut ... after being a curvy ... loyalist for years, and I'm sold! They are very comfortable, look great and I practically live in them now. The mid rise keeps me from showing butt cleavage and that's something that's so hard to find in good looking ... these days. I would love to get these in other colours/washes and I wish Gap would make cords in the perfect boot fit as well.

Very Comfortable ...
I love these ... have them in the dark wash as well. They fit pretty true to size, I did have to wash and dry them a few times till I felt they really fit nice and snug. They wear well and do not stretch out. The waist does have a bit more fabric but I think it lays well, I like the double button band. The dark wash fits a bit smaller, so I like those for going out. They are a bit pricey but it is hard to find nice bootcut or flared ... so it is worth it, the opening in these is a great in between, I love it. I wish the stores had more short lengths available, but I haven't had any problems getting them online.

Perfect Boot
I have at least 4 pairs and love this ... They have a great fit and I love the washes they come in. They have a nice size leg opening also. I am not a fan of smaller bootcut ... They do stretch out somewhat when wearing so I started ordering a size down in the lighter wash. The dark fits true to size with less stretching.

The only ... me!
These ... only ones I buy. I have a hard time finding ... am in love with that don't show everything when I bend over. I love that they are bootcut, and I love the higher waist. They do wear out a little bit sooner than I expected (btwn thighs), but I still keep buying them, love the fit!

Sizing inconsistent
What is with the sizing on these Gap ... found the sizing of the real straight ... problematic (size 6p was looser than the 8p in the same medium wash), and in these bootcut ... am finding that the thighs are tighter in the 8a than the 6a (light wash)! If Gap could just get the sizing (or quality control) down, these ... would be awesome. I don't know how they do it, but it really minimizes my hips, and the rise is perfect--no need to worry about plumber's crack. Get the sizing right Gap, and I'm yours!

Ok, but need more modern finishes
These ... ok, but nothing special. 1.) I am not that fond of either wash, but choose the lighter one to try. They need to copy the finish of the Weekender Boyfriend ... their sister company Old Navy. 2.) In the reviews, i saw where some people listed these as making their butt look great, but all it did for me was to flatten it. 3.) While they do fit pretty good, they are a little too high in the back compared to the front which looks weird, so I am returning them. Hopefully the Sexy Bootcut will shape and round your butt more then these do.

not all I''d hoped for
These ... okay, but I think the regular bootcut ones looked better on me. They seem to have a really high front, but still low enough on the back that I worry about exposure, and the waist is kind of loose, though the hips fit well. The light wash also has the really pronounced white bleached out lines across the crotch thing, I've never liked that.

Great ...
I must disagree with several of the other reviews that rated these ... badly. These are great ... they fit very well in all respects. I wear Levis 527 boot cut ... regularly and the Gap 1969's are better in all respects as far as I'm concerned. They are softer, the leg opening is the same size and as far as thinness, I would say the 1969's are about the same weight. If you want nice fitting, good looking ... then these are for you!

Unbelievable
I just ordered another pair of 1969 boot fit ... They are the only ... actually fit me properly. I applaud GAP and its reinvention of ... made to fit. The measurements were exactly as I was hoping for. I have other brands of ... even though they are supposedly my size, they do not fit well. So, hooray to the GAP for great looking, affordable ... get compliments. Thanks.

Great Fit!
I love the fit of these ... Gap has the best fitting ... out there. This was my first online purchase of ... couldn't be happier. The waist and length fit like a champ! I'll be ordering more ... Gap.com.

I can't compare them to the "old" Gap ... because I just switched over from Esprit but I love them! Perfect fit. The fit for these Gap ... same for the Esprit ... used to buy (30/34) and would say order them in your size. Distressing and coloring is good for new ... expect it to only get better with a few washings. The material may be a bit thinner than some are used to but I prefer it this way - keeps the boys cooler. It is not necessarily indicative of "poor quality"; just a thinner material. Living in Taiwan, I can say they arrived quicker than I expected - ordered them on the 16th and received them in the morning on the 22nd. Beats [@]shipping by weeks. Overall, very satisfied with the fit, quality and international shipping service.

Big Improvement
Gap finally got their ... back to the way they used to be... for the cut at least. I started buying their ... back in '05. I'm vertically challenged so to find a 30/28 is next to impossible. But then something bad happened... their ... cuts were going downhill fast. It was so bad that in '09 when I bought a pair I put the ... fit sucked! I took a tape measure and found that the real cut was 31/31 when in fact I ordered 30/28. Anyway, I ordered this boot cut ... few months ago based on the reviews which were generally positive. Well, the cut is back to '05. It's excellent. However, I did give this 4 stars for a reason. The indigo blue is ok but I would prefer a darker color (they used to have an authentic vintage). But my biggest beef is with the lines/creases/whiskers that are all over these ... hate them. They're so fake and contrived. You can't even iron them out! I would rather achieve the real deal through regular wear and tear. If they could get rid of these 'lines' I would give five stars. And if you really want to bring '05 happiness back, put the cloth hooks back on the inside of the ... so I can have the ... hang dry from them after I washed them. Gap should know what I'm talking about and anybody who's bought their ... back then. Anyway, thanks for bringing quality back.

Great ...
I love GAP ... Their ... size runs a tad large (i should be a 34, but order 33's - makes me feel good though :-), but the size is consistent. I couldn't tell what style of ... currently have (it's not printed on them like the new ones) . So, from the description, I ordered boot cut ... perfectly except for my scottish calves (to tight). I returned them to a store. I wanted to exchange (i bought on sale on line). Unable to do so :-( So, I got a refund and will wait till ... go on sale again.

Confusing
My son is very hard to find ... He is very tall and thin and this was one of the few places we could find this size. The ... took quite a while to arrive but when they did we got a surprise. The indigo wash ... fit perfectly. We also ordered the exact same ... black wash and they are HUGE on him. How could the same ... fit so differently? I now have to reorder ... return one of the 2 pairs we ordered. I don't like the inconsistency.

I Like Em''
This is my third pair of these ... love the style and I love the wash. These are most definitely my go to ... would say my only gripe would be that the boot cut is not all that boot cut. I think another inch or so around the ankle would make these ... perfect. I always end up cutting the inseams to allow the fabric to cover a little bit of my shoe and to let the ... reach its full length rather than have it bunch up. I guess that's just how I do it. Over all, you could not ask for a better pair of ...

Love the color on these ... If you're looking for a little flair at the bottom, this is not the pair of ... you're looking for. It's under bootcut, but I found the hemline rather narrow. If you're talk and lanky, then you should get these ... : )

Got these for my husband as he needs the long length (33x36) and he loves them! Thanks for making bootcut ... tall sizes that are current yet not over the-top trendy! He said ... remind him of his designer ... but at a fraction of the price!

i love ...
i just love everything about ... seem to be just a little bit loose ... that's because i've been wearing other stuff thats tight and not 100% cotton. i love mens ... especially around this time of year--if i wear spandex or stretch ... stretch over the holidays . mens ... 100% cotton and thats all i will wear now. i'm all done with womens ...

trendy wash
I always come back to the ... am looking for my next pair of ... Their sizes are true and ... well. 34x32 means 34x32. I like the wash of this "authenic" style, ... little trendy for my taste but are great for going out. I stick to the bootcut style because I like the way it falls on my shoes, but the wide opening seems to have gotten small recently. I am not a fan of the "skinny", "slim", or "straight" ... do not flatter most people. Hopefully that trend will pass soon, but in the mean time ... still a strong contender for everyday clothes.

... were nice ... my husband is a large man with a large waist and skinny legs and not rear end. ... were to big over all - we ordered his regular size - ... think ... run big. ... did not ... butt or the back of the legs. This was a trial, as we ... never tried ... him. I did not know ... carried 44 waist until resently. We are going to try the skinny ... his size. That maybe a better cut for him.

Foolish Changes to Favorite Styles
Which Fool (probably a Suit) at ... decided to change the cut and style of the various 1969 ... without renaming them or informing consumers??!! I ordered boot cut ... my favorite, which until recently had a low rising waist line. Suddenly ... hiked up over my pelvic bone and other styles have the lower waist and a totally different cut. When Levis® makes a change, ... add a new number to their collection so everyone knows the ... different! The customer advisor on the phone told me ... has to stay on top of the trends." Well and good, but couldn't ... least show the decency and good faith to their customers to call the altered styles "Boot Cut 2" or "Classic ... 4" or something like that? Worst ... Blue ...
... worst ... blue ... ever I have gotten from all the ... purchases I have made thru the years. First, ... first ... have gotten that are made in China, practically all the blue ... had were 90% made in Mexico or the States,..... very poor quality materials. Second, ... first ever blue ... did not have leather tabs, instead a stenciled white lettering "1969", on the outside waist band in place of the usual leather tabs. ... should discontiue this line of ... does not reflect ... quality.......Thirdly, rinsing to show fashion fading are too much...... rendering some parts of the ... stressed thus pronged to easy tearing. I am using ... yard work only.

Not the ... pictured on the site
I have been ordering the same type of 1969 ... years. ... not those ... First of all... the 1969 tag isnt screen printed on the back or the pockets anymore. There is a leather tab on the back that says 1969. pictures on the site are not the ... received. I have a booty... and wouldnt have ordered lowrise ... first place... customer service was apologetic... but still kinda bummed I cant get my favorite ...

not true to size
i've ordered several pairs of these, but i've had to return all of them because they've all been at least a size too big. i'm a 28/32, but the waist on these ... 28 is more like a 29 or a 30, which means ... end up too loose in the seat and leg too. i had hoped the inconsistency in sizes that ... notorious for would work to my benefit, and i would eventually end up with a pair that wasn't too loose or too snug. that didn't work out well; ... all ... too loose. if ... would make these true to size, like they've started doing with their t shirts, then i'd buy a couple pairs to kick around in until ... bring back the old bootcut ... which i'm still pining for.

Very durable
We have been having trouble purchasing ... past few months; everything feels so cheap. These do NOT. ... true ... well made. Even some of the other cuts by ... feel cheaper and these do not. We are very happy with this style and cut.

Great ...
My daughter loves these ... well and are very comfortable. The Old Navy ... were a bit long for 7 slim this time but these ... great and the length was perfect for a very petite little girl.

So, so cute
after reading the reviews I ordered a 7 regular when I normally order a 7 slim. I was disappointed to find that ... were too loose for my daughter. I exchanged them for the 7 slim and ... were too tight to the point of the button popping open when my daughter bent down. I was set to return them too but then the next day we were desperate for a clean pair of ... had no other choice. My daughter wore the ... short while ... stretched to a perfect ... not too tight at all and ... her FAVORITE ... really look so cute and I am ordering another pair! Gap is the only place I shop for my 3 girls ... only ones who can offer a ... do not have to cinch the waistband-- last I checked....the elastic waistband on denim was for a toddler and does not look good on bigger kids!

GAP ... all too skinny for my daughter. It took me 5 years to be able to say that we can buy GAP plus sizes thanks to a sale associate that helped us find out the correct size for her. Although I HATE not being able to buy the plus size ... store, I am very glad that ... offered in the majority of styles online. GAP- maybe consider sending 7 Plus to the store ... carry 8 plus there, why not 7 plus too). My daughter LOVES all GAP clothes and thinks these ... more comfortable than sweatpants. Thanks GAP for continuing to make stylist, comfortable kids clothes.

Smaller?
I love, love, love that ... offers so many styles in plus sizes and ... work great on my daughter, but I am frustrated with their inconsistent sizing. My daughter has several pairs of shorts and capris in size 7 plus that I have to cinch in quite a bit right now, so I ordered her ... fall in 7 plus. All the ... we have gotten have just ... waist with no room to grow, so I'm guessing that these are running smaller compared to the shorts and capris that I have bought recently. I got the 8 plus with LOTS of room to grow. ... cute - love the back pockets.

Great quality but too small
These run very small compared to other ... My daughter wears a 12 slim in ... but could not button these and she has a very lean build.

Too small
I have always bought gap ... because ... perfectly. I ordered several pair of the new ... too small. I also tried a bigger size which ... much better, but ... sag in the crotch. I have been very disappointed with gap ... year. We ended up taking the ... back.

It's difficult trying to find ... properly for people in the 16-18 size range. You don't stock anything above a 14 in the retail stores for teens and ... have childish embroidery all over them, and the next size in adult ... stores is too large. You totally ignore an entire segment of the population as if ... don't exist. Maybe you should try to fill the ... between sizes so everyone could find a pair of ... them. There actually are thin people looking for clothes, not everyone is super sized.

Too small in the waist
I ... always loved ... my girls because of the great ... sizing on ... not accurate! My daughter just turned 9 and is tall and thin/average for her height. We purchased a pair of 10 regular in the straight cut a month ago and ... great w/ room to spare ... 10 regular bootcut were so tight she could barely button them. My daughter also complained that ... were very tight in the legs and she is very trim through the leg area. I will be returning ... buying elsewhere since I know the ... 12 will be too long and I don't want to pay to ... them hemmed up! I am very disappointed in the accuracy of their sizing...these ... more like a slim!

Ordered ... 8 for ... daughter along with another pair of boot cut ... (faded medium wash, item# 8495910020008, also ... 8). The medium wash ... were a perfect ... just a bit of room to grow , ... were too tight to button. ... were very cute, just too small.

Love ... especially for ... 9 & 7 yr old, and thought I 'knew' how to order online and decipher reviews, wrong. ... were horrible, complete waste of time and I had free shipping. Quality of ... acceptable ... probably wouldn't ... picked them up had I been in the store. ... were about 8" too long for ... (very) tall daughter, didn't order a slim because of what earlier reviews stated and wish I had ... honestly don't think it would've made a difference. She (7 yr old) is tall and slim ... skinny, a 7 reg swallowed her and appeared to be about a ... 9 or 10. Ugh, don't waste your time or $$$ on ... Wanted to love them (so much I bought two pairs) ... unfortunately....

Not a good cut
My daughter hated how ... way too low cut and the zipper area was uncomfortable. Winded up getting the bootcut from Old Navy that was much more comfortable for her.

Not the slim ... hoping for... :(
Based on all the other reviews of ... being too small I was hopeful, and thought perhaps ... would actually ... my slender girls. Let me start by saying yes my girls are thin by todays standards only, ... no means skin and bones. It is always a struggle to find ... don't look ridiculous on them and ... once again disappointed.When you ... adjust the adjustable waist all the way to the last button the ... really balloon out and look silly around their little behind. ... used to be the only place that had slim ... actually worked for my kids ... guess as the rest of the nation grows so are their "Slim" ...

I ... been wearing ... pants for 15 years. I ... always been happy until recently. I found that ... last order, the ... material was very thin and ... all what I expected in style. I wear a 14 plus to ... hip room and adjust the waist. Since the last oder of 14 plus were HUGE, I ordered a 12 plus and found them a little too small. When I went into the store to try on different ... before I exchanged ... order by mail, I found the staff very uninformed about what what available and your exchange policy. I know that 2 styles I purchased were mail return only, ... wanted to exchange 2 other styles for a different style, ... said ... would ... able to give me the sale price I had paid. The original price was the same, ... said online and instore were two different sales. Also, in the store I see that the Chinos are a lot less in price, however, the plus ... online only. I am sad to say that I will just stick it out with 2 pair of Chinos from ... now, ... looking for a new place to purchase ... black work pants. I ... already found a place to purchase ... future.
