A soft, versatile, comfortable piece that holds it color and shape no matter how many times you wear it.... and at a nice price. This is what keeps my husband and I coming back year after year for our staples. My husband loves using the deep V (and crew necks) underneath his collared shirts for a fun pop of color, and because the fabric just feels so good. When he does wear the deep V on it's own it looks edgy without being sleazy. When I ordered a deep V for him online to try on for the first time, I was nervous that the V would be too deep and tacky. Thankfully, this ... still covers his pecs while letting him expose a small amount of collarbone. I like it. ;-)

I love these shirts
These shirts are great! I am 6'1 and pretty fit but I have a long torso. Most ... made extremely wide when you get into XL sizes. Not so with GAP. The Large tall and XL tall fits perfectly, and I don't look like I am swimming in the ... anymore. I own 9 of these ... various colors. My only complaint is that they don't carry tall sizes in stores. If you are a tall person and you need clothes with more length but not necessarily more width......TRY THESE ...

I LOVE THESE SHIRTS! They are a big improvement over old Gap v neck ... They fit like a glove and they fit my real size, instead of me having to size up like I used to do.

great tee!
i'm a tall girl and sometimes the women's tees are too short, even the tall ones. i ordered this in a M Tall and it is the most comfortable tee ... ever. i'm sure guys love it, but it's great for ladies too. can gap PLEASE make the same thing for women? or just keep making this forever... in different colors... i bought every color and 2 of them just to make sure that i won't run out for awhile.

Excellent Fit.
I am a 6'5" tall man with a 42" athletic chest. I prefer the fitted ... style and these are the prefect deep v neck ... me. The Large Tall fits me like I was measured at the tailor. The fabric is not as thick as the Old Navy v neck ... If you like a loose fit you could order one or two sizes higher than your usual. I love these and they will forever be my number 1 destination for deep v neck ...

I love this ...
This ... perfect. I have been wearing the regular v necks for a while, and came to the website to check out some tall versions, and was pleased to find a deeper V version. Bought 3 and they have gone into heavy rotation.

This is a great quality ... pair back to anything in your wardrobe. The deep V is perfect for guys who want to show off and be a little sexier. I love wearing this casually to the store or I like to layer with it when I go out at night with friends. I own every color and I stalk this website to see if there are any new colors each week. They''re okay
I LOVE V NECKS!!! I always have a hard time finding Vs cuz i like the neck to be pretty deep and i like thinner, softer fabric. I love how these shirts aren't very expensive, and they're pretty comfy and they come in many colors. I wish the sleeves were a little shorter and tighter, and the body length was a little longer, but overall, i like these shirts. I bought white, charcoal, and the azure blue one. The white one had stiff, thicker fabric, and felt like it was a lot bigger and more uncomfortable than the other two. I'll probably be buying a few more in the near future.

First Gap Deep V neck purchase
These are my first "deep V necks" from Gap. The depth of the "V" is not too deep, I actually like it. My only complaint is that I like wearing wife beaters underneath and because it is deep cut, the undershirt shows at the bottom of the "V", and also a little bit around the shoulders. Not a big problem, but annoying to me. Maybe I have to go a size smaller? I'm 6'11 and ordered a XL Tall. Overall the shirts are good. I'm interested to see how they hold up though. I bought these for [$], so really shouldn't complain too much. Although, I do prefer and would recommend the "Supersoft V Neck" over these.

Not American Apparel deep, but it''ll do.
I like the fit and feel of this ... My only complaint is the depth of the V neck. I was hoping that this ... would truly have a deep V neck, but it does not. Don't get me wrong, it is deeper than the standard V neck, but not really what I was looking for. However, the fit and feel of the ... typical of the quality I expect from Gap, and that is a good thing. :-)

Deep V
Love this deep V neck tee. Just what I was looking for. The Tall size is a bit long for me, and it gets a bit baggy after a while of wearing it. There is really no need to get the tall size unless your 6'7 or taller. I'm 6'3 and it hangs around/below my waist. I'm still keeping the ... make a nice addition to my casual wardrobe. I wish more stores sold this style of V neck tees.

Hubby loves these
I ordered a bunch of these for my husband, and now he wants more! He loves the light and thin material for summer and the shape is perfect! Not to wide or bulky and makes his figure look nice and slender. He wears an XXL, so we had to order them online. He say's they are comfortable and looks nice enough to wear with jeans and shorts when he goes out. I will be ordering more! So far, these are the best ... shirts we purchased from Gap.

Great ...
My husband FINALLY has some ... fit! I love that GAP offers a medium tall! (He's 6'4 and 162lbs.) It's easy to find big and tall...but not sizes for the tall and thin man. This ... good weight and has a just right fit. It's not too big and not clingy. It would be great if they were offered in the stores as well as on line.

Why is everyone giving these ... bad review?Sure it's thinner and a little more fitted but who wants a big oversized thick and heavy ... love mine and will order more colors.

About my favorite T Shirt ~ Great fit and works one size smaller
I'm almost embarrassed to say I wear this Gap T ... much as anything these days. Night out? Yep. Dinner downtown? Apparently so. The colored versions like the dark charcoal dress up or down with some slim fit cords and loafers. Wear under a V Neck or blazer. The fabric is not too thick, like a Hanes Beefy T, closer to the American Apparel style, which is far preferable. They are 100% cotton with some slight stretch and made well. I'm 6'3 and 195lb and can wear a LG and even go one size down to a Medium. Basically fit to size, though but if wanting to go just a hair smaller, these work well. I have this ... Black, White, and Dark Gray and recommend them all. Of note, I would take care to only wash in COLD TAP and avoid stretching out the neck, which can get too big if not careful. Of the big name stores, Gap makes about the best ... my view.

Love the color
I bought this for my husband. It's not quite red and not quite orange in color. He loves it and I love it. Size is good, bought a large He's 5' 9" and 195, (military works out everyday so big shoulders, chest and arms). The Gap tees work well for him b/c there not super tight on his chest and arms, so he doesn't look like he's wearing a ... too small.Washes well and doesn't shrink.

Nice Tee!!
I ordered a couple of these for my husband. He's a big guy- and the XXL Tall fits him perfect. It's a fitted tee- lightweight and very soft. He loves these shirts! I will definitely buy more. One thing you should know, I bought the Cosmetic Pink which is actually like a dusty rose color. The color is very pretty, but it's really not pink. We kept this ... anyway, and it looks great on my husband. Overall, very pleased with these shirts!!

Regarding this New Crewneck ... wanted to say a few things, in the hopes that the Gap will better improve it.The ... overall fits nicely, except that it needs to be an inch or two longer (and for the fact that these shirts always shrink), and the sleeves need to be a little longer, they are too girly, not manly enough; a man's sleeve should come down longer, otherwise he looks too feminine. Also the colour of this ... awful, just awful, that is why I had to return it. I was under the impression that it was going to be the colour RED, which it is not; it is an orangey red, which just looks very silly and unuseable, and not practical at all. Please, Gap, please just come out with a plain true RED crewneck ... one of the best colours on the market. You should also make your longsleeve crewneck shirts in the colour red also (I am referring to those ones that have the banded cuffs). Those longsleeve shirts are your best item your have, and the colours white and black are essential, and you must always have those, but you should really add the colour true RED as well. (And please make the cuffs tighter, and not so loose.)

I really like Gap ... but like others have said, over the years they have gotten thinner. Other than that they are awesome. Oh yeah, if you're a bigger dude (I wear 2XL in everything), get these online and go up a size for comfort. I got the 3XL and they fit more like a 2XL...typical for Gap stuff. Seems like they cater only to the petite dudes....us big guys are left out in the stores.

Not enough of a change
I used to love Gap ... shirts when I started buying the athletic fit around 2004 or so. For some reason, they then decided to change the ... shirts to a thinner, less durable fabric, and made them too roomy, giving them neck holes that were far too big. The recent change was an improvement, don't get me wrong. The shirts are now more fitted, and they're longer than I ever remember them being, which were good changes. Unfortunately, the fabric is still much too flimsy, and the neck holes are still WAY too big, much as others have said. I started to have hope upon the release of the "city athlete ... shirts," but unfortunately, they halted production of those ... shirts too. Please bring back those shirts, are use more durable fabric and reasonable neck holes, or I will have to take my business somewhere else.

Protect your neck
Like the cut, like the thin fabric, not feeling the neck is to big. It is a nice ... new crewneck but not perfect, alot closer that before, keep trying don't get discouraged GAP you will get it right someday.

completely underwhelmed
wow. Far from the perfect ... material is pretty thin and feels like it's a couple washes away from falling apart. I bought a couple different colors and I noticed the white's tend to be sized a bit smaller then the dark colors. Just very short and uncomfortable. XL is too big for me, but I kinda wish I tried it, because the whites feel like they are a bit undersized. I regret buying these ... without a doubt. Not sure why Gap done away with their old line of ... These ones are garbage. Total waste of money and I can't recommend these ... anyone.

My boyfriend has a bunch of these shirts in various colors & they look very nice on him. This past weekend, I slept over at his place & needed to run some errands the next day, so I borrow one of his GAP v necks. OMG it felt so nice on me...SOOO SOFT. I think he wears a medium so it was big on me, but I tucked in the front a little & rolled up the sleeves. Since I loved this ... so much & my boyfriend refuses to let me steal it from him, I went out & bought my own!

I'm a big fan of V necks and this one is no exception. It fits great and the colors are nice.

Better than the older T''s
I just bought 2 each of the black, gray and white v neck ... shirts for women. They are a little less see through, a little bit longer, don't bunch or twist after washing, and fit really well. What ever your size was before, order the same. The sleeves don't shorten and the fit is much nicer...less of a hang out ... more of a casual and even going out ... Love it! Glad you made some updates Gap!

Works for just "tall" guys after a wash
My boyfriend is very lean and tall. His torso is quite long, which makes it difficult to buy clothes that fit him length wise and aren't too wide. I ordered his regular size, M, and it fit a little loosely on him (I didn't pay attention to it being not only "tall" but a "BIG and tall" fit), but he could get away with it being an everyday ... But after washing it, it shrinks to a more fitted, nicer fit. The material also feels much softer. So I recommend tall, lean guys to try it out and judge it after washing. I say the same thing for the big and tall V neck.

Gotta give GAP their props
This is the first time I've written an online review lol, and I've been shopping and selling online regularly since 98'. But I'm a huge tee ... buff and I have come to truly appreciate a good fitting and well made tee ... GAP nailed it and I have to give them their props. I have a very athletic build and I dont like shirts that fit too tight; nor do I like shirts that hide the hard work I put in the gym :). GAP is a great balance....the best fit I've gotten yet however is the new PIMA COTTON tee by Banana Republic. I'm not gonna even dry those bad boys they fit and look so great. They are the most affordable pima cotton tees on the market I've seen...too bad they r only in white. Ooops...I guess I'm doing the wrong review.

Nice ...
It's a great ... thin, soft feel and nice color selection. The tshirt is a little big though..I normally wear M but went for the S and I probably could have gotten by with an XS. My only real complaint though is that the ... too long. Granted, I'm relatively short, but this tee is longer than most others I own. Side note: always go with v neck.

Tighter than I hoped for
I couldn't pass up these shirts when I saw them on sale. With the additional discount I received, the shirts came out to [$]each, a superb deal. The shipping was free (always a bonus) and quick, less than 4 days. I opened the package and two of colors were not what I expected and didn't match the web page but I decided to keep them. The fit is a little snug but I'll wear them uder other shirts so no real big deal. Overall, good ...

Not so great...
Ladies, if you are shopping for your Big and Tall man...(emphasis on Big) than these shirts are probably a miss. My boyfriend wears them as undershirts due to the thin material. This is a great look but I have found that the shirts don't truly hold up to my guys level of wear and tear. Holes have appeared in various parts of the torso area and seams have unraveled after only a few weeks. Then again I would never pay full price for this item, I've only purchased them on sale. And one other thing: if you have a larger midsection I would definitely, definitely opt for the Tall. I got my guy the 3x but realized afterwards that I would have preferred the 3xT to ensure that shrinkage would not prevent these from being wearable as a top ... They shrunk considerably length wise but at least they still accommodate my guys massive shoulders. I will say that he does get a lot of use out of them as undershirts though. The colors are nice and the material is soft. Just don't expect amazing quality.

Needs to be a bit longer. Not tooooo much but definitely longer. But cool ... soft. Would get an XL cause the L isn't really big enough but the XL's tend to just get wider all over.

REALLY REALLY thin V necks...
I've noticed that the Gap's ... shirts in general have really gone down in their standard quality, they're still extremely soft, but not even comparable to last years. I'm not sure if they wanted to make the ... shirts lighter, but now they're much to tight in the chest and loose on the torso. I also noticed that the length has become much much longer. The ... shows off your nipples and honestly, I'm not interested in head lights. The medium was way to loose in my stomach and way to tight in my chest. I'm 5'9 and I'd say just about average and this ... could pass off as a mini dress... Please Gap, bring back your old ... shirts quick!!!

i did not like the color; it was bland and looked like a faded, old white ... fit was awkward in that the chest and shoulders fit nice and slim, but then at the stomach and waist it was loose and billowy. considered keeping it because the material felt nice, but ultimately it was a return...

Fabulous
i love this ... I'm a woman, not a man, but i find men's shirts much more comfortable, and this one for sure. I wear it with everything from casual jeans to dressy linen slacks.... PLEASE !! keep this in production... i just hate when i find the perfect something and then find it's now extinct.

Great long sleeve ...
Love the light weight of the fabric, reminds me of those really expensive design ... shirts that cost much more and never fit as well as Gap ... Great all year round item. I hope Gap makes these forever.

comfortable and nice fit
My young adult sons and my husband iare 6'4" to 6'7" and weight 170-190. These shirts fit in Med. Tall and Large Tall. The sleeves are just long enough in the tall sizes. They are practical every day shirts that keep body temp at a comfortable level indoors, and they work great for layering in cooler outdoor weather. My guys wear them a lot and they look great.

Classic GAP
My husband has a plethora of these shirts, which he uses primarily as undershirts during cold weather. The fabric is light and soft, and holds up well. The colors never fade.... all in-all, it's simple, classic basics like this that keep us coming back to GAP.

My son is tall and slim. I finally found a long sleeved ... long enough that he didn't swim in! Very soft and comfy too.

Boyfriend Loves them
My boyfriend is a total tshirt and jeans kind of guy. I bought these shirts for a dressed up version of his "classic" look. He loves the softness and the fit looks great. Perfect for wearing to dinner or just lounging around the house.

GREAT ... / NEED BETTER COLOR CHOICES
I love this ... have purchased quite a few of them as a standard go to item. The only complaint that I have, has to do with the color options. I basically have them in all colors, however, you need to add a heather grey to the mix. This basic color is just expected, like a black or white option. This would be one of your best sellers if it was available. Also, you need to add a normal blue to the mix. The indigo that you offer is way too dark. It looks black and even the sales associate agreed when I returned them. I hope your marketing team values the input from social media and makes the appropriate changes.

Tall XL Fit my 6''7" boyfriend great
My boyfriend is 6'7" and slim (he's not skinny, but some Big & Tall clothes are too wide for him) and I have purchased a lot of Gap clothes for him recently. He is hard to shop for an online is really the best option. This ... nice. The only thing I would say is I ordered the Tarnished Teal color and I think it's almost hunter green, rather than teel. It's a nice color though so I'm keeping it. He loves the Basic Crew Tees and this will just be another great staple to his collection. It's soft and the sleeve length is great, and so is the overall length. He hasn't washed it yet, so we'll see what happens then :)

Not Bad
Good size, price and color. The collar on these shirts is cut very 'feminine'. The metro sexual thing doesn't work for all of us guys. But for lots of guys this ... look and feel great. The material is also very lightweight so again, don't expect it to be rugged and hold up well for anything active. Fine for clubbing or lounging around.
