As a gap.com affiliate, you'll be linked to one of the world's leading online clothing retailers and earn commissions on every referred sale.

How does the gap.com affiliate program work?

You place promotional links to us on your Web site. We'll then pay you 4% on all regular priced merchandise and 2% on all sale merchandise for the sales you refer to our site on a monthly basis.

Is my site eligible to become a gap.com affiliate?

Gap.com will be working with a limited number of high quality sites. We reserve the right to refuse any site containing objectionable material, including pornography, explicit language or content, or support for violent or discriminatory groups.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing. It's free to join the gap.com affiliate network and you can cancel at any time.

Can I be a Banana Republic or Old Navy affiliate?

Yes, you can apply to become an oldnavy.com affiliate. Go to the oldnavy.com homepage and click on the Our Company link and then the Affiliate Program link. Banana Republic's affiliate program is by invitation only.

Can a Web site based outside the United States be a gap.com affiliate?

No, currently gap.com doesn't ship items outside of the United States.

Can I link my site to gap.com and to other online clothing stores at the same time?

Yes, you can have links with other online clothing retailers.

Can I link my site to a particular Gap site (Gap, GapKids, babyGap)?

You can select as many sites as you want. We can also help you to decide which link is most relevant to your business.

Can other retailers be gap.com affiliates?

No, other specialty clothing retailers aren't eligible to be gap.com affiliates.

Will you promote my site?

No, currently we don't promote affiliate network sites.

Do I have to build an online store?

No, you can link to our site directly.

Setting up links

How do I create links to gap.com?

Once you've been approved, login to your account with Commission Junction (CJ), our affiliate program vendor, and click on Get Links. Then search for Gap links. You'll find the latest selection of our links here.

Can I use the gap.com name and logo on my site?

Yes, but don't alter our logos in any way.

Can I include specific information about your products on my site?

No, please include only the links we make available to you within the CJ network.

What are my responsibilities as a gap.com affiliate?

You're responsible for using approved links and placing them on your site.

What are gap.com's responsibilities?

Gap.com will provide you with the tools and support that you need to establish yourself as a gap.com affiliate. We also handle orders, shipping, billing, and customer service. Commission Junction handles reporting and commission payments.

Can I take orders on my site and send the information to gap.com?

No, gap.com will process all orders directly

Tracking and payment

How are orders tracked and credited to my site?

All links from your site to gap.com contain your tracking code that links all activity back to your site id. Every time a customer comes to gap.com via your site and makes a purchase we know to credit your site. To make sure that all purchases are tracked correctly, all links must be from the selection of links available at Commission Junction.

How much will I be paid?

4% on regular priced merchandise net sales and 2% on sale merchandise (for more details, see our affiliate agreement).

When will I be paid?

You'll be paid on the 20th of each month, provided your CJ account exceeds CJ's Minimum Balance Amount, for transactions reported the previous month.

How will I monitor my sales?

We offer online reports through the Commisison Junction network. These reports give you a variety of information, including how many customers linked to gap.com from your site, and how much your site has earned in commissions.

Do I have sales quotas?

No, we don't require our affiliates to meet sales quotas.
